I wanted to take the time to share some of the art I decorate my apartment with. I've gotten really obsessed with "street art"/"graffiti art"/"urban art". You probably know exactly what I'm talking about.
So I have 3 passions in life.
1. Food!
2. Travel!!
3. ART!!!
I'm pretty picky about the stuff I like, but there is so much amazing
art out there.
I wanted to show off the art in my apartment.
THE SECRET LIFE OF SUPERHEROES BY GREG GUILLEMIN
I thought this was such a cool/funny concept. Here is a little blurb...
"It may seem like superheroes spend their entire day saving us regular folk from world threatening danger on a day to day basis, but believe it or not they actual lead real lives as well.
Artist Greg Guillemin exposes superheroes daily lives in a series aptly titled ‘The Secret Life Of Superheroes.’ The series features some of our favorite heroes from both the Marvel and DC universe, doing normal things just like me and you would. What kind of things you ask? Well Superman can be seen picking his nose, Spider-Man hooking up with Mary Jane, Batman brushing his teeth before getting fresh with Robin, and Wonder Woman stuffing her bra before saving the world."
These are on stretch canvas side by side. There are a ton more like these by the artist. Check it out:

OniKaba - Demon Hippo by TNES
I love this artist. It's signed and numbered out of 24. Not really sure what happened to him. I don't hear about him anymore. Somebody on this site posted a picture that was Angry Woebots vs a King Hippo which I think was a collab between TNES and Woe, but not 100%. I believe this is on calligraphy paper, but I can't find any links from when I bought this piece 3 or 4 years back. I hope this guy continues doing what he does because he is awesome. Let me know if you guys know what he's up to now.
Yellow Armor by David Choe
A man who needs no introduction and definitely one of the most interesting

To this day best gift I have ever received.
Bicycles by Joe To
Definitely one of the most underrated artists ever. He resides in San Francisco and he kills it with a pen. This guy is also the nicest dude ever. I have a commission from him (a sumo wrestler) that he sent me for free and kept denying any money for it. I ended up sending him a paypal because he dam well deserved it. When I was visiting SF with my fiance he even e-mailed me to hang out and grab lunch! What a really nice guy. KIDROBOT please collab with this guy he is amazing.

Screaming TV - Max Neutra
Not the original title, but it fits. This guy was my gateway drug into my love
for art. I actually dicovered him on karmaloop (lame I know). They were
selling this limited of 50 print and I jumped on the chance.
A little about this artist:
"Being a self taught artist has allowed Max to develop a style that is distinctly recognizable as his own. Riding the line between mayhem and control, he paints images that are both chaotic and contained, each canvas an arena where chance and skill come together to create a colorful fusion of iconic imagery. Utilizing his distinctive gonzo style, he explores subjects such as the dark side of humanity, the beauty in nature, the fading line between man and machine, and brutal truths we often avoid, all while matching his subjects with the expressive vitality they deserve."

Gruesome 3 by Angry Woebots
Only 25 of this print. I bought this only a couple weeks ago off of forum
member Fully Laced. Awesome dude, it came with the the great frame
for a sweet price and fast shipping. This forum is to blame for my love for Woes.
He's definitely on my favorites list even though he mainly does pandas. My favorite
animal is the panda so his art was captivating from the start. I won't bother
linking anything to him because he is so well known on here.
Attack from Mars - Art by Doug Watson
Designed by Brian Eddy
Kept this for last. This was the one thing I was hypnotized by as a kid.
I never thought that 15 years later it would be sitting in my house. This is
one of the most sought after pinball machines due to it's design and limited
number of machines. Only 3,450 units made. That sound like a lot to you?
Compare that with other machines like The Addams Family which had 20,270 units made. Look at the this top 100 list.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my collection. What do you think?
Feel free to post your collections as well.

Spreading too thin...
I often find myself unsatisfied. Not in the depressing kind of way, but just always wanting more
than what I have. I'm definitely lucky for the things I have, but when you start comparing yourself
to others, things start to get out of hand. My point is I want MORE.
This isn't a new desire, but rather a lifelong issue I have always been cursed with. Whenever I see something that I find cool or interesting I want to emulate the hell out it which usually turns out some hilarious results.
Examples examples..
ONE. Cartoons were my life growing up, ninja turtles, mainly, some spider-man and others. I really got into claymation with Wallace and Gromit. I loved the idea of stop motion animation. I had a real piece of crap camera, something like this:
TWO. I loved and still love punk rock music. Since my sister introduced me to Theo Huxtables and the DDT's, The Offspring, Nirvana up to my realization of Alkaline Trio, Green Day and of course Blink (don't laugh you know you love them too) I wanted to scream like Skiba, thrash the guitar like Noodles and (ya) sing like Delonge. So much so that in my early years of college I wrote some music to the dismay of my neighbors.
THREE. I wanted to be a director. This was a lead in from my days of claymation. I frequently
asked my cousins to star in my pointless movies just for the sake of making the movie. I didn't care if the plot didn't make any sense as long as it was fun to do it. Some of them:
- Asystole - a murder occurs, but who did it?
- Persian Hip Grandma - nothing more needs to be said here
- Hollow-woman - Basically Hollow-man without the male anatomy.
This is by far the most static passion I have. I still make documentaries of my trips and enjoy editing.
Four. Artist
Five. Chef
.....the list goes on and on. These aren't some hobbies like some might think. I become obsessed. I start dreaming what if situations like becoming extremely successful at these things. Thankfully I have a supportive girl who doesn't roll her eyes at me, but encourages whatever impulse-passion-mood-swing I'm having at the current time.
You see, I have everything already, but yet unsatisfied.

It didn't have the ability to take a still image so I would press play then stop immediately. I would do this over and over again to make my claymation videos. The problem was back then there was no access to video editing software for kids. So how did I add sound? I would get in my split second sound effect. Usually a grunt or yell. It made for a very schizo video. Maybe in a later post I'll share that embarrassment.

Buffering
Who am I?
Weird that I still don't know the answer to the question after living 1/4 of my life.
I guess I can start by saying it is very unlike me to share anything about myself with anyone.
Telling secrets usually gets you into trouble, and I hate conflict. So much so that I kept an
irrelevant, innocent secret such as a sixth grade girlfriend locked up from everyone until I was
22.
I'm terrible with words. I often find myself hunting my mind for the right rebuttal to an argument or even
word to finish my sentence. This is also the #1 issue my past few relationships have all had with me.
This answers and yet doesn't answer my question....
Who am I?
Well, if I do a search I find this:
Never trust the internet.....or my skills trying to hide where I was brought up... I'm too lazy to fix that.
You would think after graduating from college, getting a decent job, living in a decent apartment, having
a beautiful girlfriend I would know who I was................ but I don't.
What I do know is that boredom makes you do the oddest things, like make a blog. I don't know how long this thing will go on. Shit, it could die in ten minutes. I doubt anyone would waste their time reading this anyways. If it does survive however, I hope to figure out this irritating search. Maybe even you could tell me.
